A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy of Goth, Grunge and Heroin

Death Proclamation takes a penetrating look at the heart of darkness of the 1990’s and America's 13th generation.  While exploring the impact that Gen X icons, including Chester Bennington, Kurt Cobain, Tupac Shakur, Layne Staley, and Scott Weiland left, it revisits the marriage of grunge music and heroin, and the beginning of America’s opioid epidemic.

Furek weaves a dark tapestry of this scapegoated demographic group born between 1965 and 1978 and  pieces together the complexities of a group with their own identity of music, drug use and violence.
